After a disasterous Star_Awards party, I was musing on the future of the website we all know & love. So many people gone now... Fever_Cole, Youlovelorie, writemarycat, Sudanese.Beauty, Audreyhep4, Modelisous, Springate *cough cough* that brought amusement and success are now gone forever. *Chokes with coughing so hard*. So what is the new generation ?
Well it seems that self-proclamed elites are getting rarer by the minute. Soon, a fourty-year old fakeshake3 will be reminiscing over the good old days, where everyone was equal, you could loophole until your brain fuzzed and backstabbing didn't exist. A desperate someone will try to create a sensational party in their guestbook, DKNY will become more important than friendship, loyalty, decency and any other value your parents have tried to teach you ? Someone else boasting to own more Vuitton than common sense ? You get the picture.
Will sStardoll ever resurface to it's former glory ? Will their ever be another Style Magazine, clique of friends that hold your virtual destiny in their pixelized mitts ? I don't think so. Those were probably better times, more fun, more healthy, where their lives didn't evolve round a computer screen. You could even lie on who you are: another girl-becomes-boy, fake name, fake identity and you can become someone overnight. I'm no example, I trust my friends implicitly, but I wouldn't be surprised if one of them owned up to being Elizabeth I.
So why stay on ? I have two simple reasons: Friends & Fashion. The Balmain jacket I could never wear in real life. Chinisua, lunuszka, bowiee, .Micky, OhSoCoco- and all the rest I will meet. Because in spite of everything, along their sides I've had some pretty awesome times. Of course the fundaments of Stardoll are great. I'm probably soon due a rehab for my square-eyes to go normal again; and during that time, a few friends can share the account, because I trust them enough to do that. May the sprungates and co see the light: it's their life. Their "fabulous" lifes behind computers picking fights, lying and scamming. Yawn On.

Archives Of Horror.
I sometimes really doubt of the stardoll staff's intellect. Have you come across the new store, Starplaza Archive ? Oh, I've really been beating myself up for not getting a vile green cardigan that was available during months. I think that this decision was made after popular demands of old DKNY. Yes, I'll confess, I've often dreamed of the day when Stardoll will get those sequinned leggings on the net. Meanwhile, a pair of hideous city shorts... Nope, me neither.
So I'm hoping they go waaay back in time to get the RB's on. If not, boycott.
Do you like these *nasty* re-edits ? No worries, I won't judge you if you do...

TheNewTopModel - Where, When, Why.
I'm doing this post to A) Announce the very soon interview with yaelalon, winner of Chinisua's competition TheNewTopModel and B) Justify my backing-up of yaelalon against itgonnarain.
It was a managerial decision, that was quite hard to make considering many things. The sole reasons for me were that we both felt yaelalon's creativity in sceneries and style were what we had both in mind to how the winner was going to be. She had a bit more va-va-voom -to quote Chinisua- and despite some slip-ups and delays on tasks, we felt that she was The One for winner. And yes, she did make us laugh: It was clearly stated in the presentation, a model ain't just a pretty face, she has personnalité, idées, creativité.
It was C.'s idea to send them a questionnaire because she was in a bit of a dilemma to "who-to-choose". I wrote the questions, and we waited for answers before the final agreement. And although I was touched by itgonnarain's entry, our favourite was yaelalon's witty, sharp one that oozed honesty and humour. I felt bad after this questionnaire however: having been a non-superstar previously, I understood Blair's aspirations to be a role-model for non-superstars. I think she already is, with a lot of experience on virtual modelling, and I know she will go far, and get that ultimate recognition she's one step away from.
So I hope this will appease the angry from our decision, and make you understand your choice.
Ps: If you think this blog is GREAT, then on Stardoll, Je suis the proud owner of Tartan and we'll keep you updated on posts and all.
Bonne vie mes gens, Xxx, B.londie

Elitistastastique
I can't say just how surprised I am at finding Blair Waldorf on Stardoll. I mean, she sure covers up well, no one could have guessed that Fever_Cole actually is portrayed in Gossip Girl. Apparently she doesn't talk to non-elites, and anyone under that status is the scum of the Earth; as she clearly stated to bliss_magazine, if you don't have the "star-quality" you're wasting your wasting her time with her...
Let me resume the situation: bliss_magazine offered Fever_Cole a position in her upcoming magazine, Bliss. And you might've discovered previously, Fever stated that she thought the idea totally ridiculous: as if someone as important as herself could be a simple team member. In fact she precised of her calibre. She really understands the industry.
And this is where I Stardoll is so tragically comique: someone who, instead of politely thanking and declining the offer, hints that the person's magazine is trash in their eyes and tells tem in no uncertain tones that they aren't on the same level. Behaviour like that is supposed to come from people who have achieved a bit more than employing dolls to serve virtual snacks usually, non ?
Do you think Mademoiselle Fever_Cole went a bit overboard, or would you call this normal ? Well visibly Undamyumbrellla wasn't impressed: Fever_Cole was off the Best Friends list before you could say LadyGagaGoHome...

PETA Vs. Anna Wintour

I love fashion, and possibly one of the most influential women in fashion is Anna Wintour. From a young age I have spent hours reading Vogue magazine and have been inspired by it. Today, It would be nothing without the powerful American editor-in-chief, with signature paperboy bob and large sunglasses. Even though I do look up to her in some ways, in other ways I strongly disagree with her, and even dislike her. Why? Well, she has often been criticized for her promotion of fur. She has used fur in many spreads in Vogue, has written pro-fur editorials, and even ran recipes for frying french fries in horse lard! For me, fashion has gone too far.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), with over 2 million members, is the largest animal rights group in the world. As an animal lover myself, and a vegetarian, I hope to join PETA one day. They have campaigned many times against "Cruella" Wintour, one member even threw pie over her outside a Chanel fashion show. Vice-President of PETA, Dan Matthews, is known for dressing up in costumes and crashing events. Like in one fashion show, where he cleverly dressed as a priest, holding a banner saying "Thou shalt not kill". Matthews even has some celebrity help, such as Morrisey, Pamela Anderson, Pink and Paul McCartney.
But back to the topic of Wintour. What do you think of her use of fur? Would you kill for fashion?

Welcome!
Hello, fellow stardoll fanatics who deceided to drop into our humble blog... Yes, it's a shambolic mess at the minute but it was created very recently by me (Chinisua) and my partner in crime, Lily. We hope to turn this blog into a haven of satirical stardoll/fashion antics in which you, the loyal visiter to this adventure, will enjoy thoroughly. For now, you'll have to be patient until we find our feet in this online universe of blogging, hopefully it won't be shittier than I expect, though I am an awful pesimist...
So, what is happening in Stardoll? Well, to be honest, not much. It's been very boring lately. But it's time to eject some fun into this website of 30 million members. We want to bring gossip, fashion, fights, rumours, anything really which will interest you. It's time for a new stardoll instutution. Plus, the creativity which is lurking in every corner of the stardoll world. It's boring reading about the same old medolls and the 'Elites', whoever they are. We want to award those who stand out, and those who should be recognised!
